Combine your love of Animal Crossing and Guess Who by creating your own custom game set!

Although there is already an Animal Crossing version of Guess Who, it can be hard to find online, so I decided to DIY my own! After thrifting a set, I customized the set by following the steps listed below.

Try it for yourself if you'd like to make a set of your own!

List of Supplies

The supplies you'll need for this craft include:

  • Construction paper

  • Scissors

  • Glue sticks

  • A Guess Who Game set

  • A printer - if you don't have one at home, use your local library's like I did!

  • Optional: Primer, Spray Paint, and Sealant Spray

Step 1: Download and print the pieces

I have uploaded all of the files that you'll need to print into a Google Drive folder, available at the link below!

Simply download them and print them in color. You will need one of each file, except for the Mystery Card backs - you will need 3 of those!

Note: I have included 3 extra characters whose cards you can swap out, so don't be confused if you find that you have extra cards later on.

Step 2: Glue and cut out the cards

After printing the pieces, simply cut and glue them onto construction paper and then cut them out. I used blue and yellow for the pieces that go on the board, and pink for the Mystery ID cards, but you can use any color that you like. The construction paper is just there to give the cards a bit more strength.

Then, cut out the pieces on the construction paper before gluing on the backs of the cards. It can be tricky to line them up, and you may have to lift the edge of the front or back of your cards and reglue them to make sure everything sticks in place.

Once you're done, they should look something like this! Repeat these steps for the pink Mystery ID cards. After you're done gluing, simply pop your pieces into place and you're ready to play!

Optional Step: Painting the Boards

If you'd like to paint your boards to match the cards, just follow these next easy steps!

To paint the board, I chose a blue and yellow color that closely matched the board pieces, as well as a primer and a sealant spray (not pictured here). Also, sometimes normal spray paint can have trouble sticking to plastic, so I chose a kind that's specifically formulated to adhere to plastic.

After you've chosen your paint, make sure to gently pop out all of the frames for the character pictures, and the little piece on the bottom left of the board that tracks your score.

Then, just apply the primer, paint, and sealant, allowing for plenty of time to dry between layers! It's best to keep the layers as thin as possible. I applied one layer of primer, one layer of paint, and then 3 thin layers of sealant.

Give everything another 24 hours to dry, pop in all of your game pieces, and you're ready to play!

Have fun with your custom ACNH Guess Who set!
